Sleep Evaluations

Your first meeting will be with Dr. Joseph Kwentus. After a series of questions to see what areas of sleep are troublesome, Dr. Kwentus will decide on your specialized course of treatment; medication, sleep study, or sleep hygiene.

In-Lab Sleep Studies

If Dr. Kwentus orders an in-lab sleep study, it will take place here at Precise (see our lab to the left). During your study, our sleep technologist will monitor your breathing, heart rate, oxygen levels, and brainwaves to check for over 80 different sleep disorders!

Home Sleep Studies

If Dr. Kwentus suspects you have sleep apnea, he may order a home sleep study (but only if your insurance covers this procedure). You take our device, sleep in your own bed, and return the device the next day!

Yes, every insurance policy is different, but we take the steps to explain what is covered for these treatments by your specific insurance policy.

Will anyone be in the Sleep Center while I am sleeping?

You will have your own room with a queen size bed. A registered sleep technologist will remain on site monitoring your progress throughout the night. You can talk at any time and the technologist will assist you. We want to make sure your sleep study at Precise is pleasant, comfortable, and safe.

When do I come in and leave for a sleep study?

You will arrive at Precise for your in-lab sleep study at 7:30 P.M. You will leave between 5:30 – 6:30 A.M.
